In September 2021, I joined EF Language School to improve my English, but it became much more than that. For the first time, I stepped outside Korea’s familiar environment and opened my eyes to new perspectives and cultures.

This experience taught me to adapt, connect with people from diverse backgrounds, and realize how limited my worldview had been. Leaving the “small pond” of my background gave me the courage to embrace new challenges and broaden my horizons.

Looking back, EF was not just a language school; it was the starting point of my journey toward becoming an international scientist. It gave me the confidence and vision to pursue opportunities abroad and follow my passion in microbiology and immunology
